A petition calling for referee Willie Collum to be banned from Scottish Premiership matches has gone over 1,800.

The petition can be found here.

The number of signatures has swelled since the referee oversaw Aberdeen’s 3-1 loss at Inverness on Monday night.

Dons fans were incensed by his decision to award the Caley Jags a penalty early in the second half after an Ash Taylor challenge.

Meanwhile Ross Draper rubbished dive claims and blamed title problems for Aberdeen FC frustrations.

Caley Thistle midfielder Ross Draper has refuted Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes’ claim he conned referee Willie Collum to earn a penalty in his side’s 3-1 Premiership win against the Dons on Monday.

McInnes was angry about the award early in the second half at the Caledonian Stadium, when Aberdeen defender Ash Taylor was adjudged to have fouled Draper, despite there appearing to be no contact between the players.

SFA compliance officer Tony McGlennan has until 3pm today to issue any notices of complaint in the wake of Caley Thistle’s controversial 3-1 victory against Aberdeen on Monday.

Dons manager Derek McInnes accused Inverness midfielder Ross Draper of conning referee Willie Collum in winning the penalty Greg Tansey coverted to put Caley Jags 2-1 ahead.

McInnes said: “It’s clearly not a penalty. Their player has tried to con the referee and he’s conned him.
