Ross County have announced that brothers Tony and Russell Dingwall have signed one-year contract extensions with the club.

Tony Dingwall spent time on loan at Elgin City last season as he continued his comeback from a cruciate ligament injury, while Russell scored one goal in 14 appearances for Forfar Athletic last term.

Staggies co-manager, Stuart Kettlewell, said: “The club are delighted to announce the signing of Russell and Tony Dingwall for the coming season.

“Tony is a player with good Premiership experience who, following a lengthy period out through injury, is showing signs of getting back to his best form.

“Russell has continued to progress as a player over the past couple of seasons, captaining the development squad to a title win in the 2016-2017 season as well as successfully completing a loan period at Forfar Athletic where he helped the club secure its League 1 status.

“Both lads are from the local area and have been with the club since the age of seven. They understand what the football club is all about and the standards expected from myself and Steven so will hopefully play a key role in the coming season.”
