Coronation Street’s Steve McDonald to marry for the 7th time

Coronation Street’s serial groom Steve McDonald will say “I do” for the seventh time after he asks Tracy Barlow to be his wife – again.

The cobbles stalwart, played by Simon Gregson, will get down on bended knee in a forthcoming episode to ask Tracy, played by Kate Ford, for her hand in marriage.

The couple have been an item since reuniting around Christmas, although they were previously married in 2012.

Steve, who has been a popular Corrie character since 1989, has also been married to Vicky Arden (Chloe Newsome), twice to Karen Phillips (Suranne Jones), Becky Granger (Katherine Kelly) and Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh).

A show source told The Sun: “Steve McDonald might not be the best looking bloke in soap history, but boy has he had some romances.

“In the next few weeks he will be seen going down on one knee to Tracy, who duly accepts.”

“It’s the seventh time he’s been married, but writers are still to decide if they’ll get down the aisle, as love is never straightforward in Weatherfield.”
