Brooke Vincent performs Manchester tribute on Dancing On Ice

Dancing On Ice viewers said Brooke Vincent “did Manchester proud” after she skated a tribute to the victims of the Ariana Grande concert bombing.

The Coronation Street actress, who is from Manchester, performed to Grande’s One Last Time during Sunday night’s semi-final.

The track was released as a charity single to raise funds after the terrorist attack at Grande’s show at Manchester Arena in May 2017.

Vincent, the final girl in the ITV competition, said she chose the song as she was “so proud to be from Manchester” and wanted to do the city proud.

One fan said on Twitter: “@BrookeLVincent you have done all of Manchester and the north of England proud! That was brilliant! #DancingOnIce @dancingonice.”

Another said: “So so proud of @BrookeLVincent and her song choice tonight. Manchester will always get through something and those amazing people that got taken away will never be forgot by Manchester.”

The routine was Vincent’s second of the night, as each contestant had to perform twice in a bid to win a spot in the final.

Fellow contestant Jake Quickenden earned a standing ovation as he scored a perfect 40.

The reality TV star and his professional partner Vanessa Bauer were awarded 10s by judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner for their second routine, a moving skate to Shakespears Sister’s Stay.

It was the first time a contestant on this series of the ITV skating competition had won a perfect score.

The other stars remaining in the competition are Max Evans and Kem Cetinay.
