A look at the A-list stars who have been named People’s sexiest man alive

Michael B Jordan has been crowned the sexiest man alive by People magazine, replacing last year’s winner, John Legend.

The coveted title has been bestowed on some of the biggest names in Hollywood, as well as a British sporting star.

Sir Sean Connery, who died last month aged 90, was named sexiest man alive in 1989 at the spritely age of 60.

Here is a look at some former winners:

Mel Gibson
Mel Gibson was the first to be named sexiest man alive, taking the title in 1985. By this point in his career, Gibson’s film credits included Mad Max and Gallipoli (Stan Honda/PA Archive)
