Olly Murs has jokingly paid his respects after former X Factor star Lucy Spraggan got rid of a tattoo of his name.
The singer had the star’s name inked onto her right foot in block letters while she was competing on the singing show in 2012.
She revealed on Twitter that the time had come to say goodbye to the etching, sharing a video of herself in a tattoo parlour and writing: “Saying fare well to my @ollyofficial tatt today. It’s been a fun 5 years.
Murs has now commented on Spraggan’s post, tweeting: “RIP TATTOO!!
“Been an emotional 5yrs on your foot!”
He added a crying with laughter emoji.
Spraggan got the tattoo after telling former X Factor contestant Murs – who was hosting spin-off The Xtra Factor at the time – that she would have his name inked onto her body if he would sing a song with her.
After the pair sang in a pub together, Spraggan was true to her word and got the body art as Murs sat by her side with his arm round her shoulders.
