Notorious serial killers will be the focus of investigator and crime expert David Swindle’s upcoming Aberdeen talk.
What makes a serial killer tick? What are the tell-tale signs? What really goes on behind the scenes?
If you’ve already binge-watched Capturing the Killer Nurse, Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and all the other true crime documentaries on Netflix, P&J Live’s serial killer talk might pique your interest.
David Swindle’s The Makings Of A Murderer will focus on the biggest British serial killers of all time – including Jack the Ripper, Peter Tobin, Harold Shipman, Peter Sutcliffe and “killer couples” such as Fred and Rose West, and The Moors Murderers Ian Brady and Myra Hindley.
David said: “Serial killers are cunning, conniving, controlling, careful and – I hate to say it – clever.
“They live apparently normal lives and get away with their crimes for years… until eventually detected.”

The now-retired Scottish senior investigating officer has worked on hundreds of murders and complex high-profile UK-wide investigations during his 34 years in the police – including management of the Glasgow Airport terrorist attack investigations.
He also helped to form the UK’s Operation Anagram to trace victims of Scottish convicted serial killer and sex offender Peter Tobin.
