What: Farewell reception for Dr Lesley Glasser, member of the board of directors and founder of Aberdeen Science Centre Satrosphere.

Where: Aberdeen Science Centre’s Tramsheds Coffee Shop.

Who: Thirty people attended the reception, including science centre staff and directors.

Why: This event was an opportunity to thank Dr Glasser for her remarkable work since she founded the centre 26 years ago. Dr Ken Skeldon, acting chairman of the board of directors, presented Dr Glasser with a lifetime achievement award along with a lifetime membership card. MSP Mark McDonald has tabled a motion in parliament to mark Dr Glasser’s contribution to science engagement.
