What: Aberdeen City Duke of Edinburgh’s Award ceremony.
Where: The Beach Ballroom, Aberdeen.
Who: Around 100 people attended the ceremony including award winners and supporters from the business and education communities.
Why: Lord Provost George Adam was on hand to present around 70 awards to a cross-section of 14-25-year-olds who had completed various tasks over a period of nine to 12 months.
This was the first time in 10 years that the city council had held such an awards ceremony and was done so to mark the diamond anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
