A car has been discovered in the water at the foot of cliffs on Orkney.
A multi-agency search was launched earlierover the weekend, following reports of a car going off the cliff at Yesnaby.
Police were assisted by Stromness Lifeboat team and coastguard team as well as a rescue team from Kirkwall.
The alarm was raised at around 5.30am and the search was stood down after the car was found.
A coastguard spokesman said the circumstances of how the vehicle ended up in the water was unknown and there was no indication that anyone had been inside the vehicle.
