Members of a community have rounded on the “disgusting” vandals who attempted to scrawl Nazi and racist symbols in a children’s playpark.
Backwards swastikas and racist slurs were among the messages left on the side of a piece of play equipment in Charleston, Aberdeen over the weekend.
Ward councillor Stephen Flynn blasted the act as “really terrible,” and personally cleaned the graffiti up earlier this afternoon.
He tweeted: “It’s beyond disgusting. Intolerance breeds intolerance.”
He also confirmed that he would be passing on information about what happened to the relevant authorities.

Others in the community have also criticised the act on social media.
One said: “The fact they’ve drawn it wrong really says a lot about the brain capacity of these morons.”
A man who lives nearby said: “It’s properly ruined my day.
“Thankfully my wee boy is too young to properly read, but what if he could?”
Another added that it was “shocking and disgusting,” and urged any neighbours who saw the culprits to contact the police.
