A new free online service has been launched for people who require sanitary products during the coronavrius pandemic.
Pads and tampons had previously been made available across Aberdeenshire thanks to Scottish Government funding.
As the majority of schools and public buildings are currently closed due to lockdown, a new online ordering service has been launched to ensure people can still get access to the products.
Rosemary Bruce, vice-chairwoman of the authority’s education committee, said: “The coronavirus pandemic has seen many of us turn to online delivery services to receive essential items, so the launch of this online service could not be timelier.
“I am really pleased those in need will be able to continue to access sanitary products during this global pandemic in a way that is convenient for them.”
Our community of donation partners work tirelessly to offer support and deliver product, so that even in times of uncertainty, having enough period products in the house is the last thing anyone has to worry about.
