A final decision on plans for new homes on an Aberdeenshire golf course will be taken after councillors have visited the site.
Westhill Golf Club wants to build seven properties on the edge of their land to pay for upgrades to the course and clubhouse.
Planning officers had urged members of the Garioch area committee to throw out the application because the buildings would fall outside the existing boundaries of the town.
Westhill and Elrick Community Council lodged an objection to the proposals.
The application will be discussed again at the next meeting of the Garioch area committee where members will also hear from a club representative.
Len Hubert, captain of Westhill Golf Club, said: “We’re pleased a site visit is taking place and that we will have the opportunity to speak at the next meeting.
“We believe this visit will show councillors how accommodating the site is for our plans. The proposal is extremely important for Westhill Golf Club and the local community.”
