Two appliances from Altens were sent to the scene at Craigshaw Drive at its junction with Craigshaw Street and Craigshaw Crescent, at around 11.10am. The fire was put out by 11.45am, and firefighters are currently monitoring the situation. A fire spokeswoman confirmed that no-one was injured. She added: “It is all under control. It was not a big incident. Precautions were taken because an acetylene gas cylinder was involved. “Crews are monitoring currently using thermal imaging cameras. The fire was extinguished.” Police officers closed Craigshaw Drive at its junction with Craigshaw Street and Craigshaw Crescent at the request of the fire service.
