A motorcyclist has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following a crash in the north-east this morning which left his bike on fire.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the two-vehicle collision at the junction between the B993 and the B9119, beside the Tornaveen Hall, near Torphins.
Two fire crews from Banchory were called to the incident and a police spokeswoman confirmed: “The bike was on fire and the motorcyclist has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The extent of his injuries are unclear but do not appear to be life threatening.”
The road was closed for a short time but has now been re-opened.
