A motorcyclist was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following “serious injuries” in a crash on the Keith to Buckie road last night.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision at about 8pm on Sunday, August, 23.
The blue/white Suzuki GSXR motorcycle and a purple Mazda 3 collided on the B9016 Keith to Buckie road at Croft of Ryeriggs, near Aultmore.
A Police spokesperson said: “The motorcycle was being ridden by a 29 year old man who suffered serious injuries and was flown by Air Ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he is currently being treated.”
The road was closed for collision investigation purposes for around seven hours, opening at 5:30am.
Sergeant Jon Barron, the senior investigating officer, stated: “Detailed enquiries are under way in order to establish the full circumstances of this serious collision. I would like to take this opportunity to urge any potential witnesses to come forward and speak to us.”
”In particular, the enquiry team are interested in speaking to anyone who witnessed the actual collision and anyone who saw either of the vehicles prior to the incident or who may have been driving in the immediate area around the time.”
