Picture by Laura McMillan Hundreds of homes were without power this evening as blizzard conditions gripped the north of Scotland. Properties in Inverurie were hit by the blackout at around 9pm. Engineers had restored electricity to most homes and hour later. All supplies now restored in #Inverurie. Apologies for the inconvenience caused & thank you for your patience. — hydroPD (@hydroPD) November 20, 2015 Thick snow on the A96 had earlier forced police to close the road and a weather warning has been put in place for the Aberdeenshire and Highlands regions.
