A man has been sentenced after assaulting a woman on Market Street in Aberdeen.
Aidan Allison-Horne previously pled guilty to assaulting the woman on March 4 by spitting on her, seizing her by the body and throwing her to the ground, causing her severe injury.
The 32-year-old, whose address was given as Gaitside Drive, appeared for sentencing at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.
Sheriff Ian Wallace decided to spare Allison-Horne jail, despite the “very unpleasant” nature of the crime.
Instead, the 32-year-old was given 210 hours of unpaid work and placed under supervision for a year.
