A mum-of-four who sent a man “bizarre” threatening videos from outside his house has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.
Stacy Clancy filmed a clip on Middlefield Place, Aberdeen, focusing on her victim’s work van, which was parked in his driveway, and chanting: “The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire.”
Later that same day, July 14, she sent another video brandishing a black-handled bread knife and texted the man: “I’m coming for you.”
Clancy also punched and hit the front door of the property while the man was inside.
The 34-year-old was apprehended after the occupant called the police, who then visited and heard Clancy’s voice coming from outside the house.
At Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday, she admitted having a knife in public, acting in a threatening manner and damaging the man’s front door.
Her solicitor Iain McGregor said: “The behaviour in these offences was somewhat bizarre, to say the least.
“She describes herself as a social drinker – with no particular difficulties with alcohol or drugs – and on this occasion she had consumed more alcohol than what would normally be the case.”
He added: “She accepts the charges are of a very serious nature and shows remorse for her conduct.
“I can safely say there is little, if any, risk of repetition of this.”
Clancy, of Brighton Place, Peterculter, was ordered to carry out 250 hours of unpaid work.
