The first north-east snow fall of the year descended on Aberdeen in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
At around 1am a brief snow began to fall in the city for the first time in the festive season.
Who knows – it could be a white Christmas in the north-east after all!
It comes as the north of Scotland and other parts of the UK prepare for violent storms of up to 80mph.
Forecasts have predicted the foul weather will batter the Western Isles, west coast, Orkney and Shetland today.
