Woman threatens ex after finding out he’d slept with a prostitute… Who turned out to be her son’s partner

A woman sent her ex a threatening text message after she discovered he had been sleeping with a prostitute – who also turned out to be her son’s partner.

Carol Ann Bulut was outraged after her son informed her that his girlfriend’s new client was her former husband Miguel Aros.

Angry Bulut sent a text message to Mr Aros threatening to smash the windows of his Aberdeen flat.

But yesterday the 56-year-old was shown mercy by a sheriff, who admonished for the offence.

Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard that Bulut had been separated from Mr Aros for about 23 years and they had four children together.

Fiscal depute Karen Dow said that during the early hours of the morning on November 4 Mr Aros received a message from the accused saying that she would smash his windows and that she would “go to court for it”.

Ms Dow said that Mr Aros did not take any action at the time, but the next day he discovered his windows had been damaged.

The court heard that there was no evidence to suggest Bulut was involved, but he decided to call the police to inform them about the text message.

Bulut admitted sending the threatening message when she appeared in court yesterday but her solicitor Alex Burn said she “does not particularly regret her actions”.

He said there was “significant history” to the case.

The court heard that Bulut’s son received a call from his girlfriend to say that she had an appointment with a new client.

When he inquired further about who she was meeting she told him it was Mr Aros.

The court heard Bulut’s son then called his mum to tell her what he had just discovered.

Mr Burn said she was furious that not only had he been with a prostitute but also that it was his son’s partner.

The court heard that Bulut, of 12 Eigie Avenue, Balmedie, Aberdeenshire, was a first offender who had never been in trouble before.

Sheriff Alison Stirling admonished her for the offence.
