Commenting on the attempted fire raising incident at Dyce Police Station, which resulted in Dyce Primary School being closed to pupils today (Tuesday) local MSP, Mark McDonald, whose daughter attends Dyce School, said:”Given the proximity of the police station to both the community centre and the local school, we could have been looking at significant consequences from this action.

“Especially as it appears to have occurred not long before many children would have been arriving to start the school day.

“It is a credit to the police and fire services that they responded so quickly to this incident, and I am sure that the local community will recognise the importance of ensuring public safety and the need to gather evidence that has led to the school being closed.”
