Two men and a woman have been found guilty of attempted murder in Aberdeen.

Mathew Donaldson, 23, Lee Hutchison, 29 and Ashley Duncan, 22, attacked Jordan Jones in a property on Auderlean Place in Kincorth last year by kicking him and stamping on him, causing permanent injury.

Police were called to the disturbance on May 22 and Mr Jones was transported to hospital.

The trio appeared in Aberdeen High Court this week where the jury found all of them guilty of attempted murder.

Donaldson and Hutchison were also convicted of attacks earlier in the year.

The pair assaulted Kenny Grubb on Gardner Drive on 20 February by punching him while wearing knuckledusters, to his permanent disfigurement.

Hutchison was also found guilty of two further assaults.

During the same incident, he struck Jamie Pittendrigh while wearing a knuckleduster and causing severe injury and, on April 30 last year, he knocked Murdo McRobb to the ground before repeatedly punching and kicking him on Caiedykes Crescent.

A further charge that he had been in possession of cannabis in May last year was dropped.

Judge Scott deferred sentence on Donaldson, of King Street, Hutchison, of Berrywell Walk and Duncan, of Short Loanings, until October 3 at Edinburgh High Court this year.

They were all remanded in custody.
