Police in Orkney have confirmed that a man who was reported missing yesterday afternoon has been traced safe and well. Alan Davies, 38, had last been seen at around 3.15pm in Kirkwall. Officers had been searching the Stromness area of the mainland. Confirmation he had been traced came just after 10pm, and police thanked the public for their assistance.
