A Falkirk steel fixer working in the far north, has been caught driving while almost twice the legal drink limit.
Scott Stirling, 44, admitted the offence along with two further charges, attempting to pervert the course of justice and driving without insurance, when he appeared from custody at Wick Sheriff Court yesterday.
He was stopped by police in Thurso, on Saturday, and was apprehended after running away.
Stirling is currently working at the decommissioning Dounreay atomic plant and lives temporarily at 10 Angus Court, Thurso.
Sentence was deferred until June 13, but Stirling, whose home address is 23 High Street, Slamannan, is meantime subject to an interim driving ban.
