Father and child in close call after car forced off Highland road

A man and his child escaped injury this morning after their car was forced off an Argyll road.

Police said that the driver had to leave the A85 Oban-Perth road at Dunbeg at 7am because of “overtaking manoeuvres” by other vehicle.

Sergeant John Stobbo, Oban Police Station, said: “The car was forced off the road as a result of overtaking manoeuvres by other vehicles.

“Fortunately the father and child are safe and well. Inquiries are continuing.”
