An Argyll lifeboat was launched yesterday evening after a dive boat with 13 on board ran aground.
Oban Lifeboat went to help those on board the Sound Diver operated by Lochaline Dive Centre, after it became stuck in shallow water at the southern entrance to the Sound of Mull, at 5.55pm.
Soon after the lifeboat left its berth, the crew were informed that the vessel had floated off into deeper water by itself, but it soon became clear that the boat had damaged one of its propellers.
At the request of Stornoway Coastguard, Oban lifeboat continued to the scene and escorted the vessel back to her base in Lochaline..
