The collision involving the schoolboy happened in Evelix Road in November 2015
A child has been hit by a vehicle on a road in Dornoch.
An air ambulance was requested to airlift the youngster to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness following the collision outside Dornoch Academy.
The emergency services were called to the scene at 3.41pm on Friday.
The collision in Dornoch, in Sutherland, is understood to have involved one car and one pedestrian.
The child was believed to be conscious.
A police statement confirmed the road outside the school will remain closed whilst officers from the road policing unit carry out an investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
