Emergency services are assisting a woman who became unwell while walking on Ben Nevis.
A police spokesman said the woman had been walking with another person and they received the call from her companion at around 3.15pm.
He said Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team were called out and Rescue 100, the Coastguard helicopter from Stornoway, had already been in the area and went to assist.
He was unable to provide any information regarding the condition of the woman, who is understood to be in her 50s.
