
A dog had to be rescued earlier tonight after it fell down a dam in the north-west Highlands.
The pooch slipped down an embankment from the top of the Glascarnoch Dam, at Altguish.
The fire and rescue service were alerted to the incident at around 6.35pm.
One appliance from Dingwall was sent to the scene and five firefighters used short extension ladders to rescue the dog.
The pet is now back with its owner and being treated at a local vets.
