Extreme weather causes serious flooding in Moray

The aftermath of Hurricane Bertha has hit Moray full force leaving a number of buildings and villages flooded.

The storm has hit the major supermarkets with Tesco petrol station and car park in Buckie both flooded.

Keith Show has been cancelled for Monday despite a successful first day yesterday.

Asda in Elgin has also had to close because of water in its car park.

Johnstons of Elgin café is closed, and Browns Engineering in Mostoddloch have had to send home 50 workers.

It is understood that parts of the RAF Lossiemouth base have flooded.

The A98 is closed between the A96 Lennox Crescent junction in Fochabers and the A942 junction in Buckie, because of flooding.

And there are poor driving conditions on the A96 in both directions between Elgin and Keith due to flooding and debris on the road.

There has also been serious flooding in the village of Dallas in Moray.
