George Dow died after his van collided with a Honda CRV on the B9001 Inverurie to Rothienorman road, near Daviot, on October 17. The 28-year-old, who was known as Dod to his friends, had been living in the Rothienorman area but is believed to have originally been from Kemnay. Mr Dow was married to Alanah and a “devoted” dad to Riley and Jay. His family said they were “devastated” by his death, while friends described him as one of the “best guys” they had ever known. Mr Dow’s funeral will be held at Aberdeen Crematorium’s west chapel on November 3 at 1.35pm.
