Keith FC: In heaven, en route to the Europa League?

Keith FC
Keith FC

Gee whiz – Keith fans must think they have died and gone to heaven these days – that’s five league wins on the bounce following their heroes storming the Fort at the weekend, blasting home six goals.  They even let Fort score first to make a game of it!

Anyway new manager Allan Hale and his management team must have a magic formula, as that’s five successive league wins for the first time since April-May 2009, and five successive away league wins for the first time since October-December 2008.

We are getting a nosebleed from being so high up in the league table, that’s us up to 7th spot, blimey is the Europa League in our sights I wonder!

Maybe not, but there is some pretty attractive football being played just now, and plenty of goals being scored as the end product.  The two signings from Maud have been an absolute revelation with Donnie Fraser grabbing a great hat-trick against Fort, and Luke Barbour showing great skill and determination up front as well.

There is a great buzz about Kynoch Park, and the squad of players all seem to have a great camaraderie and commitment to the cause, enjoying themselves to the full, and it is great to watch.

Perhaps the days of winning honours again to add to an already impressive list isn’t too far away.

It’s good to be a Maroon just now and Keith fans should savour it to the full.
