Scottish independence: North-east brewery launches Yes and No beers

North-east residents are to be given a unique method of having their say in the Referendum.

Craft brewery Brewmeister today launched a range of Yes and No beers that will be used to give an insight as to how the company’s customers may vote in the upcoming independence debate.

The ‘ballot-beers’ will be available from today until Sunday, when the sales will be counted to determine if craft-beer drinking are leaning toward Yes or No.

Lewis Shand, sales and marketing director at Brewmeister, said: “The decision on whether or not Scotland should be independent will be the biggest question our generation will be asked to answer and we feel that, since every other cross-section of Scottish society has been polled, craft beer fans should have a chance to have their say.

“However, unlike some of the discussions we hear regarding the pros and cons of going it alone, our beer referendum is a light-hearted way for customers to have their say on the subject as well as enjoying a great beer at the same time.”

Both bottles are filled with the same kind of beer and are available to buy from brewmeister.co.uk.
