Could Dua Lipa finally top the charts this week after Brits success?

Dua Lipa is challenging reigning chart-topper The Greatest Showman soundtrack for the number one spot this week.

The singer-songwriter, who won two Brits at last week’s ceremony, is currently at number two at the halfway stage of the charts week, the Official Charts Company has said.

Lipa’s self-titled debut record reached number three on Friday following her Brits performance and double win.

It marked a new high for the record, which originally peaked at number five when it was released in June last year.

However, the Hugh Jackman-fronted soundtrack for musical film The Greatest Showman is still taking the lead after seven weeks at the chart summit.

Ed Sheeran’s Divide has slipped to number three after rising up to second place last week, while Brit winner Rag’n’Bone Man’s Human remains at number four.

Gang Signs & Prayer by Stormzy, which won the coveted British album of the year gong at the Brits, has leapt up again from number 10 last week to number five on Monday.

Last week it surged 31 places to enter the top 10 for the first time in almost a year, and was also certified platinum – marking 300,000 sales.

Over on the singles chart, rapper Post Malone’s new track Psycho is set to be this week’s biggest entry, having entered the chart at number four.

But Canadian rapper Drake is looking likely to retain his number one spot with God’s Plan for the sixth consecutive week.

Rudimental’s These Days is at number two, while Lipa’s single IDGAF remains at number three and Feel It Still by US rockers Portugal. The Man is in fifth place.
