CATTLE
Aberdeen-Angus: Graham Willox of Meikle Pitinnan, Oldmeldrum, with two-year-old home-bred bull Cardenwell Butch, which is by Burnside Jamie Eric and out of Strathinver Belinda. He stood male champion at Fettercairn.

Reserve – Alex Davie of Perkihill House, Lumphanan, with 17-month-old home-bred heifer Perkihill Evas Honey P212, which is by Lakewood Prince Maverick and out of Kitewood Evas Honey. Her sire stood beef interbreed champion at Tarland two years ago.
Charolais: Blair Duffton of 2 Bogie Street, Huntly, with 18-month-old bull Ravensworth Jack, which placed second at Turriff last week.

Reserve – not awarded.
Blonde: David Grant of Earlsfield, Kennethmont, Insch, with six-year-old home-bred cow Ardmore Eppie, which was shown with her three-month old bull calf Ardmore Landlord. She is by Ardmore Bullseye and out of Ardmore Bounty. She placed second at Turriff.

Reserve – Neil Anderson of Beltie Cottage, Glassel, Banchory, with a bull called Glassel Jasper.
Limousin: C & E Ogg of Buchaam Farm, Strathdon, with their three-year-old stock bull Farmleigh Gussy. He was bought by the Oggs in Carlisle two years ago for 7,000gn and his first stock will be for sale in the spring. He was shown straight out of the field and is by Wilodge Vantastic and out of Roundhill Dbelladone.

Reserve – Aileen Ritchie of Tamala, Burnside, Whitecairns, with two-year-old in-calf heifer Emslies Eryl. She was bought at the Emslies production sale last January and Tarland was her second outing. She is by Procters Cavalier and out of Emslies Eryl.
Highland: HM The Queen, Balmoral Estate, Balmoral, Braemar, Ballater, with four-year-old bull Prionnsa Dubh of Craigowmill, which is by Panther 2nd Vom Aignerhof and out of Lady Alma Dubh of Craigowmill. He stood champion at the Black Isle last week and Banchory last year.

Reserve – Ian and Mary Adams, 24 Beech Tree Road, Banchory, with two-year-old heifer Frangag Dubh of Cladich. Bred by Mr Jon H. Strickland and bought in Oban in October 2013 for 2,400gn, she is by Seionaidh Mor of Ardura and out of Frangag Donn 10th of Torloist. She was champion at Echt and New Deer, and reserve at Angus and Banchory.
British Blue: Grant Dinnie of Bridgeton, Muir of Fowlis, Alford, with home-bred heifer calf Birsemohr Kiss Me. She is by Sauveur De Monin Chapelle and out of Anys Esma. She will be sold at the Thainstone Spectacular next week.

Any other pure breed: Ian C Wilson of Fordie, Torphins, with home-bred 19-month-old Simmental heifer Craigmyle Extreme which is by Beeches Kesterl and out of Dellfield Tabatha. She was shown as a calf last year.

Reserve – James Hardie of 47 Gordon Road, Alford, with 16-month-old Shorthorn heifer Greenwall Fannich Foxglove. She was bought for 1,300gn from Messrs Ravensheer and was on her first outing with Mr Hardie. She is by Glenisla Donald and out of Greenwall Fantastica Foxglove.
Cross: Blair Duffton and Rebecca Stuart of 2 Bogie Street, Huntly, with 19-month-old Limousin cross heifer Lady Moo Moo. She was bought at last year’s Thainstone Spectacular for £3,800 and is by Haltcliffe Donny and bred by Grant Morrison, Newtack, Keith. She stood supreme champion of champions at Fettercairn and New Deer as well as beef interbreed champion at Banchory. She will be sold at Thainstone on Friday.

Reserve – William and David Moir of Home Farm, Cairness, Fraserburgh, with 17-month-old Limousin cross heifer Peechy Cheeks which was bred at Monzie Farms and bought in Stirling last October. She is by Kype Elliot and out of a Limousin cross cow. She was reserve champion at Banchory and will be sold at next week’s Thainstone Spectacular.
Carcase on hoof: Steven Smith of Thye Byre, Sunnyhill Croft, Turriff, with a Charolais cross heifer. Reserve – R & J Greenlaw of Balgairn Farm, 6 Mulloch View, Dinnet, with a home-bred Belgian Blue cross stott.

HORSES

Clydesdale: Norman Christie of Woodside, Kinnelar, with home-bred six-year-old yeld mare Anguston Amber. She is by Old Greenlaw Lochy and out of Anguston Amy. She was champion at Banchory and New Deer, and reserve at Turriff and Echt.

Reserve – Claire Stewart with home-bred six-year-old gelding Northwells Tartan Lad, which is by Knockandhu Master of the Glen.
Highland: HM The Queen with home-bred three-year-old filly Balmoral Beth. She is by Torrin of Croila and out of Misty Morn of Turin Hill. She was reserve champion at Turriff last year.

Reserve – Christine A Gunn of Upper Haugh Croft, Alford, with two-year-old filly Murraypark Shaylee.
Shetland (Standard): Christine Forbes of 1 Dullanbank, Keith, with eight-year-old mare Merkisayre Debut, which was bought at a Shetland sale at Thainstone two years ago for £260. She was champion at the North of Scotland Shetland Group Show last year and this year’s Spring Show.

Reserve – Ann Irvine of Kinivie, Blackford, Rothienorman with coloured pony Tonton of Haybrake.
Shetland (miniature): James Burr of Coseyneuk, Echt, with 21-year-old stallion Swells Barron, which was bought as a six-month-old. He is by Samson of Chapelhill and out of Scappa Swell.

Reserve – Margaret Greaves of Balcraig, Kintore, with Strathlene Roxanne.
SHEEP
Blackface: A Smith & Son of Haughton, Glenkindie, Alford, with a home-bred three-crop ewe which is by a £6,000 ram, sold by the Smiths, and out of a home-bred ewe. She was on her first outing.

Reserve – R Holman-Baird, of Rickarton Farms, Stonehaven, with a tup lamb by a Glen Cally sire bought at Stirling in 2013 which is an ET brother to a £3,400 tup. His dam is by a Netherwood-bred tup. He stood reserve at Fettercairn.
Suffolk: Scott Robertson of 52 Conval Street, Duffton, with a one-crop bought at the Christmas Classic for 850gn. She stood reserve champion at the show that day. She was bred by Graham Knox at Haddo and placed third at Nairn, Echt, New Deer and Banchory.

Reserve – Scott Robertson with a home-bred tup lamb on his second outing. He is by Cairness Liam and out of a Whitestone ewe. He placed second at Banchory.
Texel: Stuart Barclay of South Road, Insch with a Forkins bred one-crop ewe bought in Northern Ireland from Alistair Gault. She is by Knock To Jan. She was reserve interbreed champion at Echt.

Reserve – William and David Moir with a gimmer bought in December for an undisclosed sum from the Cairness flock. She is by Castlecairn U2 and out of a Cairness ewe that is by Deveronvale Perfection.
Any other breed: Ian Spence and Sue Pye of Tillychetty Cottage, Alford, with a shearling Charollais ram called Logie Durno Obama. He was bought in Worcester last year as a ram lamb. He is by Croghan Lambert and was on his first outing.

Reserve – Wendy Willox of Home Farm, Druminnor, Rhynie, with a home-bred one-crop Charollais ewe, by Cannahars Geronimo and out of a home-bred ewe. She was second at New Deer.
Cross: Miller Farms, The Lurg, Midmar, with a group of three mule gimmers which were bred by David Cowie at Rothienorman and bought for £140 each at Thainstone last year. They were first prize mules at Turriff and first prize pen at Echt.

Reserve – J.H. Thomson & Son of Mains of Glenbuchat, Strathdon, with a group of three home-bred mule ewe lambs.
GOATS
Champion: Skye McWilliam and Gillian Gunn of Craigie Pygmy Goats, Ellon, with an 18-month-old female Pygmy goatling called Moorview Princess. She was bought last year and has had previous show success.

Reserve – Fiona Smith and Family of Broomhill Farm, Kinnernie, Dunecht, with a three-year-old Toggenburg billy called Willowriver Schwartz. He was reserve at Forfar and champion at Turriff.
