Some of Aberdeen’s finest antiques are making their way to Scone Palace this weekend, where they will be featured at one of Scotland’s most prestigious antiques events.
On Friday, November 6, dealers will travel to The Scone Palace Antiques and Fine Arts Fair to showcase desirable furniture, oriental rugs, porcelain, glass and precious jewellery.
Dealers including Highland Antiques of Aberdeen, Carse Antiques, jewellers Billy Rae and Roselane Antiques from the Granite City will be at the event alongside hundreds of collectors and interior designers.
The weekend has been organised by Galloway Antiques, where the team are looking forward to marking 20 years of the popular event.
Susan Galloway, from Galloway Antiques and Fine Art Fairs, said: “We have been organising quality antiques and fine art fairs for 20 years and have been lucky enough to work closely with some of the finest stately homes in the country.
“This year’s fair at Scone Palace is going to be bigger and better than ever before.
“Anyone who has an interest in antiques and fine art, or those who want to see some truly stunning artefacts, should come along to Scone Palace and browse at their leisure.
“There really is something to suit all tastes and prices range from £20 up to the high-end, more rare items.”
Antiques from different periods will be on display and on sale including an Art Deco Macassar Ebony desk set from Scarab Antiques of London, silver candlesticks hallmarked from Glasgow, 1898, and made by Sorley from S&A Marsh and a Trivette aquamarine bracelet circa 1950.
The Scone Palace Antiques and Fine Arts Fair will be at Scone Palace on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 6, 7 and 8, 10.30am-5pm daily, with a 4.30pm close on Sunday.
Entry is £5 and visitors will also be able to explore the historic location’s grounds and gardens, where they can stand on Moot Hill, where Scottish Kings were crowned, and see the Stone of Destiny and enjoy walks through the Murray Star Maze and The Pinetum.
