Gritters have been out in force today after snow blanketed swathes of the north and north-east overnight.
Areas all over Scotland woke up to fresh sheets of the cold white stuff after flurries in the early hours lined roads and driveways.
In Aberdeenshire, a road had to be closed due to the amount of snowfall on the ground and elsewhere, icy conditions have caused disruption to travel plans.
But despite challenging conditions, the snow has brought with it some stunning wintry scenes to the north-east.

Whether you like it or loathe it, it’s hard to deny that snow can turn the places we see every day into a beautiful winter wonderland.
And while many will have been left with a difficult journey to work this morning, hopefully they will have taken some solace in the stunning view around them.
