Three men were arrested in Aberdeen yesterday following a police raid on a property near the beach.
They were detained after the driver of a car they were travelling in ignored a request by police to stop the vehicle in the city’s School Road.
The car was driven at speed to a property in Golf Road where the occupants were detained.
Police sent five units to the scene and a number of other officers who had been on patrol in the area stationed were also sent to assist.
A police spokeswoman confirmed that three men had been arrested in connection with a driver failing to stop when requested in School Road.
She added: “The stop was not part of an inquiry but the car would have been of interest to officers.”
The men remained in custody last night.
Meanwhile, a man is due to appear in court next week in connection with an attempted housebreaking in Braemar.
At around 7.10pm on Thursday, police responded to a report of an incident in the Broombank Terrace area of the village.
Officers pursued a 31-year-old man by car.
The Press and Journal understands they used a “stinger” – a spiked strip thrown across the road – to stop his car.
The man is now expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday.
