Buildings across Aberdeen will welcome the public today as part of Doors Open Day 2014.
The free event, which is co-ordinated nationally by the Scottish Civic Trust, allows people to visit places of cultural and historic interest which are not normally open to the public or usually charge an admission fee.
Buildings taking part in the Granite City include the Town House, Marischal College, The Tolbooth, Central Fire Station, and Aberdeen RNLI Lifeboat Station.
One of the city’s new hydrogen buses will be on hand to ferry visitors around different venues.
The bus, which is part of a fleet of ten hydrogen vehicles, will depart from Marischal College every hour between 10am and 3pm, except at 1pm.
It will take a circular route which includes Union Street, Albert Street, Foresterhill Road, Westburn Road, St Machar Drive and King Street.
Aberdeen City Council leader Jenny Laing said: “This is an exciting opportunity for members of the public to get a first taste of the benefits of clean hydrogen transport.”
