An Aberdeen fan who hurled abuse at cops before an away game has been fined £400.
Lewis Howie was arrested before his team met Dundee United at Tannadice on December 13.
Drunken Howie was spotted by police outside the stadium and was detained after shouting and swearing at officers.
Fiscal depute Trina Sinclair said: “He appeared to be heavily under the influence of alcohol and was shouting and swearing.
“There were other fans nearby also intoxicated and it was thought best to isolate him.”
Howie, 22, of Rosehill Court, Aberdeen, pleaded guilty by letter to a charge of breach of the peace on summary complaint.
Sheriff Elizabeth Munro fined him £400.
