VIDEO: Scottish groom becomes ‘Thriller’ on his wedding day with Michael Jackson routine

A Scottish groom has Thrilled wedding guests by performing a Michael Jackson-inspired dance routine for his new wife.

Josh Joseph, from Peebles, wanted to do something special for his other half, Sandra, and certainly did not disappoint.

The couple, who wed last Sunday at the Brigodoon House Hotel in Ayr, are big Michael Jackson fans and Josh knew his own version of the King of Pop’s routines would go down a treat.

He explained: “My Mrs and I are huge Michael Jackson fans. I have been trying to learn his moves by watching his videos for over 14 years, and I finally got to put them to good use.”

He was joined by his closest friends to create a perfectly timed dance routine which was, of course, accompanied by Jackson’s biggest hits – including Billie Jean and Smooth Criminal.

Josh has no previous professional dance experience and spent several months learning his act at “random dance studios”.

But if the dancing looks like tough work, it was nothing compared to keeping the surprise a secret.

“It was bloody hard hiding the fact we were putting it together from Sandra but she was thrilled that we put it together – the crowd really were not expecting it at all.

“We created a really exciting atmosphere after finishing,” said Josh.

It looks like all the hard work paid off however, with new wife Sandra asking: “Can we do this again, please?!”
