Police helicopters are hunting for a group of joyriders whose car ploughed across a pavement and into a caravan.
It’s believed a young child on her way to school this morning narrowly missed being hit by the stolen motor.
The jeep swerved off the road in the into a garden and smashed into a parked caravan.
Those inside the vehicle – said to be as young as 14 – then fled the scene, leaving the engine running. The crash happened in Drylaw area of Edinburgh just after 8am today.
