MSN Messenger is what I grew up with to chat to friends before Bebo, Facebook and WhatsApp came along.

As a teenager it was great fun to chat to your school friends after school, to talk about school and the people in it.

With the news that the chat site is to end after 15 years, I’ve selected 10 of the best phrases which you would only use on MSN.

HWZ U?

How are you? Like most conversations it was always nice to ask your friends how they were doing. This was just a much cooler way of doing so.

WUBU2?

BRB

Be right back the term used instead of telling your pals that your parents were calling you for tea.

KL KL

Cool cool An acknowledgement and agreement.

BBZ

Babes girls you are all guilty of this one, whether this was to a guy or all your girlfriends. I bet you still use it.

WHO U LUVIN?

Who do you love? Why was this question asked? Do you still do this? If so, stop!

WOTS UR TOP 5?

In order, please state your preference of girls and/or boys that you know Imagine doing this now. This question was probably asked every day to the same people. We were such a bitchy generation.

CBA
