Peterhead captain Steven Noble could miss Saturday’s Petrofac Training Cup quarter-final against Livingston.
The 26-year-old’s partner is due to give birth tomorrow.
Blue Toon manager Jim McInally is already preparing to go into the match without the left back, who lives in the Central Belt.
Noble said: “Thankfully the manager is very family-orientated and will support whatever decision I make.
“If the baby is not here then I am not really sure what I will do as it is nearly a four-hour drive home.”
