A former Scotland and Aberdeen FC manager will discuss his long and storied career at a local heritage centre later this month.
Craig Brown will be the focus of the latest Football in Question event, which takes place at the Grassic Gibbon Centre in Arbuthnott on May 25.
He will be in conversation with centre director Andy Hall about his time in the Hampden and Pittodrie dugouts, as well as his time as a player.
The audience will then have the opportunity to ask the Dons director questions about his career.
Last night, the former Rangers, Dundee and Falkirk player said he was excited about appearing at the event.
He said: “I am delighted to be joining Andy Hall, a man for whom I have the greatest respect, in conversation at the Lewis Grassic Gibbon Centre on the 25th May.
“I’m sure it will be an enjoyable and interesting experience for me and, hopefully, for those in attendance.”
Alongside the event, there will be a two-course meal, a special Scotland football raffle, a quiz and a special auction of a signed and framed print of the iconic Splash image, featuring Sir Tom Finney.
The late Sir Tom, widely recognised as one of England’s greatest ever players, spent 14 years at Preston North End, one of Craig’s former managerial posts.
Mr Scott said the centre hoped the event would follow on from the success of last year, when Dons legend Willie Miller was the speaker.
He added: “We are delighted to have Craig for the event. He has a fund of stories and insights from throughout his varied career in football as a player, a manager and now as a director of Aberdeen Football Club.”
The event is a 7pm for 7.30pm start.
