The theft occurred sometime between 7.30pm on Wednesday January 27 and 7am on Thursday January 28.

The dogs are described as follows –
Female – 5 years of age. Mainly black in colour but has a distinctive white patch over face and a white front left leg.

Female – 8 years of age. Mainly black in colour with a distinctive white “collar” marking around neck.

Male – 8 years of age. Mainly black in colour with tan around face. Has a white patch on his chest and a white front leg.

Female – 10 years of age. Mainly black in colour with a white chest and white front left leg.

PC Megan McDonald, of the Huntly Local Policing Team, states: “This is a distressing crime for the dogs owner. Not only are these dogs working sheep dogs they are family pets.

“The commercial and financial impact this is having on the owner is huge. The dogs are worth an estimated five figure sum because of their training and breeding. We appeal to anyone who has any information that can help locate the dogs and reunite them with their owner to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
