Formartine United YFC win derby match against Colony Colts

Formartine United YFC won 3-2 against Colony Colts in the U16 C at Davidson Park on Saturday.

“A really pleasing win in local derby. Goals from Daniel, Archie and Harry had us 3-0 up. A late rally from Colony made for a tense finish. Glad to get win and the three points and proud of the boys’ efforts,” said Formartine United YFC’s manager Tom McNeill after the game.

Colony Colts have two wins, one draw two losses with a goal difference of 13 goals for and 10 against over the last five games, while Formartine United YFC have three wins, one draw and one loss and a goal difference of 18 goals for and 11 against.

Formartine United YFC are now in second place, while Colony Colts are in fifth place. Formartine United YFC are 3 points behind Northstar CFC.

The last meeting between the teams ended in a 1-1 draw, with Formartine United YFC at home in November 2022.

Colony Colts have 17 goals in total. They have scored nine goals at home and eight goals away in the U16 C.
