What the papers say Manchester United have reportedly been offered Paris St Germain star Neymar  in a straight swap for Paul Pogba. The Independent says the deal for the 27-year-old Brazil forward was proposed to the Red Devils, but refused on the basis it was too expensive for United to justify. Pogba, 26, is said to be keen to leave Old Trafford for Real Madrid but the Frenchman is also interested in Juventus and PSG.

What the papers say Manchester United could be left disappointed as striker target Joao Felix reportedly nears completing a deal with Atletico Madrid. According to the Evening Standard, the 19-year-old is close to finalising a 120million-euro (£106.7m) deal with the Spanish side, putting United – who were apparently unwilling to pay over £100million – out of the race.

What the papers say Frank Lampard’s switch to be the new Chelsea manager could be hammered out by the end of the week, the Evening Standard reports. Derby will reportedly demand £4million to let their boss terminate his contract early and have publicly stated that no approach has yet been made. However, the former Blues star is said to be the first choice to replace Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge. Currently on holiday in the Mediterranean, Lampard is also said to have informed Derby of his desire to take the opportunity if it arises.

What the papers say Paul Pogba could reportedly be offered a huge new contract by Manchester United after the midfielder recently admitted it “could be time for a new challenge”. Juventus and Real Madrid are among the Frenchman’s potential suitors, but the Red Devils will only be prepared to let him leave for a much greater sum than the £89million they paid to secure his services from Juve in 2016, according to the Daily Mail.

Breaking
