Stormy weather is causing disruption to ferry services across the north of Scotland today.
Northlink Ferries has advised that today’s sailing timetable will be subject to several delays – with Shetland journeys worst affected.
The MV Hrossey’s course from Aberdeen to Kirkwall and Lerwick may be delayed and will sail to Lerwick directly and a later service from Kirwall to Lerwick at 11.45pm tonight has been cancelled.
The next scheduled departure from Lerwick is on Wednesday 8 October at 5.00pm heading to Kirkwall and Aberdeen.
The 4.45pm route from Stromness and the 7.00pm from Scrabster have been also cancelled.
There are currently no reports of affected flight or train services.
